Unsealing a jar, I gently coax a few buds into my hand and am astounded by their density. Attempting to break the bud with my fingers was a mistake, as this beauty was crouton-like in it’s tenacity, and I moved it to the grinder. Grinding the flower released a sharp orange-y scent and strong gassy undertone. The smoke was luscious, smooth, and sweet, with the Orange flavor coming more forward. As the burn progressed, the taste developed a pecan-like, roasty herbal quality. Before I had too long to enjoy the sensory experience, the buzz hit me fast, and intensified well into my smoking session until we reached cruising altitude. It's the kind of high that walks right up and grabs your hand in a forceful handshake and whisks you away for a night of no regrets. A slight anxiety I was feeling from a long drive quickly melted away as Mandarin Cookie and I jammed for several more hours.
